school heritage

Yayasan International Islamic Schools of Indonesia (YIISI), also known as Al-Taqwa College Indonesia, is deeply rooted in a rich legacy of educational excellence. Our journey began in 2008 as the first Islamic International School in Indonesia, drawing inspiration from the renowned Al Taqwa College Melbourne, which has been shaping young minds since its inception in June 1986, under the visionary leadership of Mr. Omar Hallak.

With over 32 years of experience, Al Taqwa College Melbourne has been dedicated to providing a nurturing Islamic environment for the education of young children from Prep to Year 12, catering to a diverse student population exceeding 2,000.

Al Taqwa College Indonesia proudly holds the status of an SPK school (Satuan Pendidikan Kerjasama), allowing us to seamlessly implement the Cambridge Curriculum alongside the Indonesian Curriculum, ensuring a comprehensive and globally relevant education.

Since our establishment in 2008, numerous graduates of Al Taqwa College Indonesia have embarked on successful journeys, securing admission to prestigious universities in Indonesia and abroad. Our commitment to preparing students for leadership in a global society is exemplified through our annual exchange program with our Melbourne Campus, available to students in Year 9 to 10. This transformative experience empowers our students to evolve into confident, independent young adults, equipped to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.
