Boarding Life at Al-Taqwa College Indonesia

At Al-Taqwa College Indonesia, our boarding program is an essential part of school life. We believe that the time after school is very important for students and should not be wasted. This time provides an opportunity to expand their knowledge, strengthen their physical health, deepen their understanding of faith, and support their mental well-being. At the same time, we ensure they have sufficient time to rest and relax, as we understand the importance of balance in their daily lives.

Boarding Options

We offer two boarding choices to suit different needs:

  • Weekly Boarding: For local students who return home on weekends, providing a good balance between family life and the benefits of boarding.
  • Yearly Boarding: Offering a supportive home throughout the school year for international students.

A Safe and Caring Environment

We strive to make our boarding program a second home for our students, where they feel safe, happy, and cared for. Our campus is equipped with a comprehensive security system, including surveillance cameras, to ensure the safety of every child. Students are not permitted to leave the campus without proper supervision.

Our meals are thoughtfully planned to provide students with three healthy and balanced meals each day. Additionally, our extensive sports facilities are always available for students to use, and we regularly organize outdoor activities such as hiking, beach trips, and swimming to promote both physical health and enjoyment.

Beyond physical well-being, we place a strong emphasis on spiritual growth, character development, and good manners. We aim to nurture students into devout Muslims who embody their faith in daily life through their actions and behavior.

Each dormitory is overseen by dedicated boarding supervisors who are always available to support the students. Whether students need assistance or someone to talk to, our supervisors are there to guide and help them.

Our school has dedicated staff to handle general cleaning, but we also focus on teaching students important life skills. We encourage them to take responsibility for tasks such as washing their own clothes and dishes, tidying their beds, and organizing their personal spaces.

During holidays, we provide opportunities for students to explore additional activities like learning to cook in the kitchen, picking fruits, weeding, and feeding the chickens. These experiences are designed to develop practical skills, foster independence, and instill a sense of hard work and

A Typical Day in the Boarding Program

Each day begins with Fajr Salah in Jamaah, followed by the recitation of Surah Yaseen, daily supplications, and a short session to learn important Islamic teachings, such as hadeeth, stories of the Sahabah, or lessons in manners (adab). This meaningful start brings blessings and peace, preparing students for the day ahead.

After this, students tidy their rooms, take care of personal hygiene, and enjoy a nutritious breakfast before heading to their classes.

Following school hours, students have free time after Asr Salah to relax and recharge. They can spend this time chatting with friends, reading, playing sports, or studying independently. All congregational prayers are performed in the mosque, fostering discipline and a sense of community.

After Maghrib Salah, students focus on Quranic studies to improve their recitation and understanding of the Quran. After Isha Salah, they participate in a brief session where they share and reflect on faith-based lessons, helping them connect with their spirituality.

From 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM, students engage in a dedicated study period to complete homework or review their lessons. To ensure they remain focused and free from distractions, mobile phones are not allowed during weekdays. On weekends, however, students may use their phones to contact their families.

This structured daily routine helps students balance their academic, spiritual, and personal growth while fostering independence and responsibility.

Building Character and Mental Well-being

We believe in educating the whole person. Along with academic and spiritual education, we pay close attention to students’ character and mental health. Through our boarding activities, we guide students to become responsible, respectful, and confident individuals who are ready to face challenges in life.

We welcome your child to join our boarding family, where they will be nurtured and supported every step of the way.
