Cambridge Curriculum
Cambridge Curriculum Overview

The Cambridge International Curriculum is a globally recognized and standardized educational framework, valued for its emphasis on academic excellence and real-world relevance. It fosters informed curiosity and lifelong learning by offering a wide range of interconnected subjects that relate to real-life situations and daily experiences.

Students are encouraged to develop essential higher-order thinking skills, including problem-solving, critical thinking, independent research, collaboration, and effective communication. These skills are nurtured through Cambridge’s challenging and inspiring programs, equipping learners to excel in an ever-evolving global landscape.

A Seemless Learning Journey

The Cambridge curriculum offers a progressive structure that seamlessly guides students from early education to pre-university studies:

  1. Cambridge Early Years
  2. Cambridge Primary
  3. Cambridge Lower Secondary
  4. Cambridge Upper Secondary
  5. Cambridge Advanced

Each stage builds upon the previous one, ensuring continuity in development. However, the flexibility of the curriculum allows individual stages to be offered independently, catering to diverse educational pathways and needs.

Al-Taqwa College Indonesia: A Recognized Cambridge Test Centre

Al-Taqwa College Indonesia is proud to be an official Cambridge Test Centre, a distinction not held by all schools that teach the Cambridge curriculum. This unique status allows our students to study and take Cambridge exams within the supportive environment of their own school, ensuring access to timely resources and personalized guidance.

As a Cambridge Test Centre, we offer the following assessments:

  • Cambridge Primary Checkpoint
  • Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint
  • Cambridge IGCSE
  • Cambridge International AS/A Levels

In addition to serving our own students, we welcome private candidates who wish to demonstrate their academic abilities through Cambridge assessments.

At Al-Taqwa College Indonesia, we are committed to fostering academic excellence and supporting students in reaching their full potential. Our role as both an educational institution and a Cambridge Test Centre ensures a holistic and streamlined experience for all learners.

Al-Taqwa Indonesia proudly aligns its educational approach with the national curriculum, known as The Merdeka Curriculum. This curriculum is distinguished by its focus on essential content and its commitment to enhancing the quality of education.

One of the standout features of The Merdeka Curriculum is its emphasis on differentiated learning, which allows teachers to tailor their teaching methods to the unique needs and interests of each student. This approach fosters enjoyable, student-centered learning experiences that aim to significantly improve the quality of education.

While we are an International Islamic School, we understand the importance of integrating local subjects into our curriculum. Hence, alongside our international perspective, we also place value on local subjects such as Sundanese, Civics, and Bahasa Indonesia. This combination enables our students to gain a well-rounded education that connects them to their cultural roots while preparing them for a globalized world.

At Al-Taqwa College, we lay a strong educational foundation by grounding our curriculum in the teachings of the Quran, Hadith, and the wisdom of esteemed Muslim scholars. Our curriculum embraces the Islamic spirit across all educational facets, with a primary focus on nurturing students’ morals, character, and ethics to lead a fulfilling life in both this world and the hereafter.

What sets our curriculum apart is its unique integration of Islamic teachings with scientific knowledge. This approach empowers our students to excel academically while understanding their roles as devoted servants of Allah and contributors to the greater good of humanity. We believe in fostering well-rounded individuals who excel academically and are morally upright and ethically responsible.

Our commitment to instilling Islamic values extends beyond the classroom to provide students with a solid foundation in aqidah (faith), akhlaq (morality), and the correct procedures for worship. This equips them with the knowledge and values necessary to navigate the challenges of today’s world successfully.

Through our comprehensive Islamic curriculum, we shape future leaders who are academically accomplished and deeply rooted in their faith, morality, and ethics, fostering a generation of individuals who stand unwavering in their commitment to Islamic principles.
